Top 10 car movies

I didn't write it but I love a good car chase. I never saw some of these movies. I think the writer is nuts for leaving out the 7 ups and the french connection. But here it goes:
10-Dirty Mary Crazy Lary
9-Duel
8-The Vanishing Point
7-Gone in 60 seconds
6-The Driver
5-Le Mans
4- Bullitt
3-smokey and the bandit
2- Mad Max
1- 2 lane Blacktop
Now that I look at this I think its a list of crap! What about French Connection?(the only thing I will ever like with the word french in it)
What about road warrior? Le Mans? What the hell was that? Duel sucked.

I love car movies. These might be my top 10:
1. American Graffiti (definately a car movie IMHO)
2.Bullitt (bascially all of McQueen's movies are great car movies)
3. Mad Max (or Road Warrior - a deserving sequel)
4. Ronin (DeNiro & Frankenheimer in an overlooked classic)
5. French Connection (damn straight Phil!)
6. It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (fun fun fun fun)
7. Gone in 60 Seconds (the original)
8. Duel (Speilberg's first ditty)
9. Le Mans (McQueen's the man)
10. Grand Prix (Frankenheimer again, awesome car scenes, horrible story)

Road warrior was one of my favorites. Which one had Roy Schyder driving crazy chasing a guy and then he hits the back of a truck?

French Connection.
There are also some great car chase scenes in RONIN. Freakin' awesome!
