Just a random question, should raise some laughs, do you guys dress like the music you lsiten to ie:goth,punk,80s style?Or did you used to do that? Also name your worse fashion faux pas?

I dress kinda late 70s early 80s meets 50s rockablilly/punk as I love Deborah Harry and Marilyn Monroe.I kinda look normal meets alternative and love experimenting with make-up.80s fashion is BIG in the uk, the stripey tops,spots,wristbands,jelly bracelets,studs,animal print etc it's great!But why bring back puffball skirts? Yuck.

My worst fashion fauxpas:Batwings, yes I was that much of a fashion victim in the 80s! But I lOVED those Duran Duran pixie boots and my rara skirt. yeah I was a child fashion victim.(even had the lady-di haircut)

Uh, I HAVE worn a leather jacket with a tux - like Bryan Ferry in the "More Than This" music vid[}:)] I forgot he's Bryan Ferry and he wear that shit without question[V]

I kind of look emo...but it's not like I intend to. Have my glasses, wear Converse tennis and t-shirts.
Sometimes I do look more 80ish.. especially if I'm going dancing.

I had the suspenders, electric blue pegleg pants and the Members Only jacket.

But my nerd roomate used to wear jeans and a real tuxedo shirt. He thought it was the height of fashion!

I still wear a LOT of black, but with color in my shirts and ties. I'm partial to slim cut suits(mod like).

Batwings? Can you explain because I know that word to mean something I'm sure you don't suffer from.[:I]

Anyway, I dressed like Kieffer in the lost boys. The mc boots and trench coat. I do not dress like that anymore but as others on the site know...I am a slave to fashion. It is one of my passions.

Worst mistake? A grey Don Johnson jacket with shoulder pads. (I wore it once and could never again! I bought a mc jacket instead.

Here you go check this picture out, a batwing top except I had one worse than that the sleeves went up right from the waist to the wrist!They were massive.It was grey sweatshirt material with thin olive green stripes on the chest area, horrible thing. My best friend had a batwing top too and we had to stretch are arms out to prove we were wearing batwings, yep, we were fashion victims!

Oh God what we did for fashion! I'll be honest, I still have to look good when I go out someplace. Ring my door now and you will find me in shorts, a wife beater (tank top) and baseball cap (coney island). But The other me dresses to the nines.

I used to dress like the music I listened to, particularly during the whole grunge thing. My college dorm room was littered with flannel shirts and Doc Martens in the early to mid 1990s.

These days, I have two looks: Work, which is a sea of pinstripes, and Not Work, which is mostly black (not because I'm trying to dress like the music I like. I'm blonde and fair and I look good in it, that's all), and with lots of accessories (I'm like a monkey with my fascination with shiny things), and funky shoes and purses. My favorite at-home outfit is a long-sleeved black T-shirt and camo capris. I love makeup, too. At last count, I had in the neighborhood of 85 different lipsticks, all kept in a big tackle box under my bathroom sink [:)]

The worst thing I ever wore was in my junior year of high school. It was a pair of Rocky Mountain jeans that I bought to go with my cowboy boots. The jeans had wings on the side that crisscrossed in front. I can't even explain them. They looked like MC Hammer meets Lonesome Dove.

LOL! Yeah I did the whole flannel shirt Dr Martens grunge thing I looked like a boy looking back!I think how I dress now is kinda a reaction to that! [8)][:I]

In 5th grade (1971-72) I saved up my birthday money and bought bright red high top sneakers. I don't mean normal Converse-All-Stars-type high tops. These went all the way up to my knees. Lacing them was an exercise in patience. I thought they were SOOOO cool. I wore them with my cute khaki coulottes. The first day I wore them to school my classmates laughed and teased me all day. They called me "Coach Cleats" (from the Archies comic). They were brutal! I never wore those poor shoes again. I wish I had a picture--they were ridiculous!

I can't be bothered these days. I work a crap job that doesn't require a certain attire (I'm a video editor/duper, I work in a dark room locked away from everyone).

I usually wear black or blue jeans and some kind of t-shirt, either plain or with some obscure punk band on it. I still wear a leather biker jacket (current one has skulls all over the lining just for cheeze value) and boots or Converse.

But man, back in the day my jacket was studded up, had pins all over it, I wore Boy Of London black bondage pants, spiked my hair all up...

These days I will occasionally wear a suit jacket over a t-shirt and everyone asks why am I so dressed up, but that is about as radical as I can be bothered to muster.
