Stupid quiz. It seems to base the result solely on your response to the final question. Bleh.

Hey Beatschool,
I didn't vote for the Echo and the Bunnyman lyrics at the end but I got them, along with this :

"You're all about the music. Not too incredibly mainstream, but not too incredibly underground. It's awfully hard for anyone to oppose you, seeing as how you rule."

So it's not based on the last question. It wasn't so bad.

Thanks Marie. I tried changing my answer to the last question three times and each time got the band that performed the song. Maybe I'm so milquetoast it based my test on the last question alone.

Thread revival!

I got The Cure too, though I did pick the "let's play master and servant" line. I love that song to bits. And yeah, the "depressed and whiny" thing was, like, whatever. They apparently based their understanding of The Cure on just a few songs.

And living in shadow: The Pixies were a proto-grunge group that existed in the mid - late '80s. They're critically adored, perhaps to the point of being overrated. Eh. I don't think much of them. I think they sound pretty boring to me, but I confess to loving The Breeders (former Pixie Kim Deal's '90s group with her twin sister Kelley) when I was a teenager. Which I'm totally sorry for and I do now consider them a guilty pleasure.

Funny thing is, this is pretty much right on the money, and I've more or less never even listened to Echo & the Bunnymen.

I'm wondering about those of you who got Soft Cell though, do you get them if you pick all the S&M answers?

And oh yeah, it doesn't base it on your final answer, I picked the Peter Cetera song for that one.
