<a href="http://homepage3.nifty.com/hanazuc/cassette/">I thought this was pretty neat.</a> I tried to find a few cassettes I had in my earlier days. Didn't find much. It didn't show the TI-99/4A program cassettes, or should I say "data tapes". Yeah, that makes it sound more technical.

Now, that's cool. Try that on a CD! Sob though, brings back lots of memories--spike boots, notebooks etched with new wavedom, RayBans, the Pat Benatar look, music people have never heard of, the looks you get when you mention Fun Boy Three or Elvis Costello. Good times.

OMG, that is COOL ! Brought back a lot of memories. Like most of us here, I was a cassette freak. I know that it's been said that their technology wasn't that great, but they were great for me ! It was fun seeing all those...I used Maxell, mostly, along with TDK and Sony. But when I first became a music fan, strictly amateur and a newb, I used whatever cheap cassettes my dad would toss my way...horrible quality, really, but still lots of fun. Oh, the visions of all my great mixed comps....

My first ever cassettes for recording(computer programs on my TI) were "RE-KORD" cassettes. And per 80s fashion, they were in a digital LED font, with a grid background. I couldn't find it on the page.

OH MY GOD, the number of cassettes on this thing that I actually still have is astounding. <a href="http://homepage3.nifty.com/hanazuc/cassette/memorex_dbs_90%5B1%5D.jpg">This cassette</a> was the first kind of blank tape I used often. I also bought a fair few of <a href="http://homepage3.nifty.com/hanazuc/cassette/maxell_sx_2_90%5B2%5D.jpg">these kinds of cassettes</a> to record on. I remember receiving mixtapes recorded on <a href="http://homepage3.nifty.com/hanazuc/cassette/maxell_xl_2_90_b%5B1%5D.jpg">this kind of cassette</a> and really loving that rich, full sound I heard from them. I bought a whole lot of <a href="http://homepage3.nifty.com/hanazuc/cassette/sony_fx_90%5B1%5D.jpg">this kind of blank tape</a> too, as well as <a href="http://homepage3.nifty.com/hanazuc/cassette/tdk_d_90_b%5B1%5D.jpg">this kind</a>. OMG, I can't believe they even have the <a href="http://homepage3.nifty.com/hanazuc/cassette/alme_c_90_a%5B1%5D.jpg">bargain basement kind</a> I ruefully bought one day at a discount store (this was back before the Dollar Tree existed, so discount stores were still pretty sleazy places to go to). Oh wow. This was like a really wondrous trip back in time.

The cassettes with the reel-to-reel hubs are awesome! [8D]

I see a few of the TDK SA's I used to record on back in the late 70's / early 80's. [:D]

Hmmm... maybe I'll use one of those cassette images as the cover art for one of my Flashback 80's cd's. And perhaps a reel-to-reel hub for the cd's label. [:D]
