<p align="justify">I think it's rather quaint. Perhaps a way to keep her family and friends, those whom she doesn't have regular contact with, updated on what's going on in her life. Besides, 99% of blogs out there read like this to me no matter how offbeat some attempt to be in their writing.

that's what I think... my friend keeps a blog that is not entirely her voice. Her faraway friends and family read it (and probably certain ex's who have stalked her in the past) so she censors herself to a certain extent. How she writes her mysp@ce thingy is so different to how she writes to me personally.

Wow. Maybe Jenn from N.J. ought to put the blog away for a while and clean house. Or at least hire a cleaning lady. What a mess!

Oh my God. My dear mother would seriously die a million deaths if she saw any of those "messy room" photos. I mean, yeah, like almost everyone in the post-industrial world I had a messy room when I was a teenager, but it was nowhere near as out of control as that little daughter's room appeared. No way, no how. My mom (who was a working mom who worked full-time) would have never let it get in a state like that. She would've forbade me from leaving my room until I got it into some semblance of order. That's why even now, when I first wake up in the morning, I make my bed, and after the requisite bathroom break, I hang up my sleep clothes as I change into my day clothing.

BTW, my mom WAS cool at times. She did let me play her '60s Motown 45s (a lot of Supremes, Temptations, and Four Tops stuff) on my Fisher Price record player and taught me how to do the mashed potato and the PROPER twist. None of this Wiggles-type stuff for me. I got kids' records that sang regular nursery rhymes, sure, but I was just as likely to be spinning "(Reach Out) I'll Be There" or "You Can't Hurry Love". Thank you mommy!

My mum has instaured a terror regime in ermns of order in which we are all victims of the most obsessive way of cleaning and arranging things ever.

Aw, I don't think my mom enacts a "terror regime". She's OCD, sure (she's like that TV character Adrian Monk), but she's way harder on herself than she is on anyone else, so tha can't be terror. Besides, I've picked up some handy housekeeping hints from her.

ETA: So if your mom IS doing the terror thing (vs. the Munich thing -- heh, sorry, that was a song by The Mood), aw, shame. Bad mommy, no doughnut.
