I am curious on everyone's opinions on this.

I feel this opens the door to so much more then the sole purpose of intention.

Well, it is only a bill being introduced. It is not law and I doubt it will be.

I would have thought you'd have to be u to something to get arrested in anycase. That said though there was thta guy who got shot in the London underground after the July 7th bombings which you no doubt will have heard of the guy from Brazil. So I think it's the sam eon both sides of the atlantic. Ther'e sbeen other cases too. I guess what saddens me is that we in the west give up our liberties because of the terroists to me that is palying into their hands and doign what they want we should stand our ground we always did before. sure increase security but lets not be daft you know?

It isn't only a bill. It's part of the destruction of America as we know it and we are powerless to do anything about it. The right to a speedy trial, the right to confront your accusers, and the presumption of innocence that protects us all is under attack. What really scares me is that people aren't marching in the streets demanding a return to sanity.

Doesn't particularly surprise me anymore. In America, 2006, fear trumps common sense. Don't believe me? Check Sean Hannity's ratings....

Insane, but yeah ... not surprising.

Im also good and pissed about the anti online gambling bill the chimp is set to sign today. I'm sure we'll figure out a way around it but if not, I don't even want to think about how much money this will cost me. [:(]

Well our freedoms have been gone ever since 9/11 happened basically. The government is just waiting to actually TAKE them.
