Soulseek is filesharing software. Ad free and spyware free, and a great source for obscure music, if you can put up with the ever present leeches who populate it.

I didn't know WinMX was still around ? We used to use it in 2003; I remember lots of long, long queues, but you'd eventually get what you were looking for. I found limewire to be a mess, not user-friendly at all, had no obscure music to speak of, and hardly any action! Our fave was kazaa, though--they had it all.

Posted: Tue Oct 17, 2006 7:41 amWasn't Winmx shut down? I could never find anything off there, and whenever I did it wouldn't download. It's gone off my computer and I can't say I really miss it. Now audiogalaxy on the other hand. Now there's a program I'm praying every day for a miracle to happen for it to come back.
