I bought tickets for a show once that was canceled and it took about a year to get Ticketmaster to stop trying to collect money from me through American Express. I kept contesting the charges until an Amex rep called me up wondering what the deal was. I told her and she took care of it once and for all. Here, check this interesting article out:

The Beautiful South. We have to drive 5 hours to Philadelphia to see them, otherwise I'd go to the box office.

Devo concert that was supposed to be last night was canceled about two weeks before the show. I had tickets in the center, 7th row. God knows how much all the fees were but they said they'd refund the money except for the "Convenience Fee" which was a total of around $20. Unbelievable!

I had an event cancelled and tickemaster wouldn't refund the charge. I called my charge card company and they refunded me.
I hate ticketmaster. They are theives.

I've heard so many of these types of stories about Ticketmaster. Sorry to hear more of these, you guys.[V]

If I can help it, I try not to use TM. I usually buy at the door if possible, or use a local company or record store that sells tickets.

I remember when Pearl Jam tried to take them on, and failed. I was a concert promoter in my past, and always used Ticket Tron, they ruled, just not enough venues, and then TicketBasterd bought them out, and I was told pay so much to sign up with us, and were going to charge you this much per ticket, AND (get this) take a cut of your profits (gross!!!) from the gig as well... I said Fuck You Very Much... sold tickets through the bands, records stores, alternative shops, etc., BUT I was banned (black-balled) from many venues in Los Angeles, as well as I could never do any gigs at any of the Ticket Master "run"/"owned" venues around town... the independent concert promotor has to pay to play as well... maybe that's why I like The Payola$ so much! [:D]

<p align="justify">ticketbastard has a monopoly on the tickets. Unless you wanna buy yours at the booth the day of the show or buy them from a scalper, the only other venue is them[xx(]

I had to unfortunately use tickemaster today, in addition to the ridiculous convenience fees and order charges (the convenience fee goes up for more expensive tickets), they now charge to print your tickets at home. Huh? $2.50.
So let me get this straight, for clicking on the print button, and using all of my own paper and ink, it costs me $2.50?

Unbelievable.

<p align="justify">The ones outside the venue, the ones on e-bay, or places like tikco that sell tix for three or four times the retail? Actually, they all sell for three or four times what ticketbastard charges.
