I've been following this story for some time. Apparently, the neighbors are uptight and prissy. Though, they have reason to be as the homeowner with the creative vents/windows had dug his property right up to the neighbor's fence. It's all explained here. Since then, I believe that he has taken the window down.

But what galls me is that, instead of talking thinkg through with neighbors and taking preventative measures, this guy bulldozes his way through and expects everyone to allay his wishes.

The way he was acting, you'd have thought he's from California.

Utah rules. Hell, we've had Donny and Marie, Mark Hoffman, the Lafferty brothers, Gary Gilmore, Cold Fusion (I think it works, by the way) and now this. In spite of it's quirks, I really do love this place.

Great story! I have had trouble with neighbors and it can get crazy. (especially with me as your neighbor)
Bottom line, it is clear he was building his house and going to block views from those above. It would have been my first thing to make sure I didn't go too high. It's the builders problem. Should have done it right in the first place knowing you will piss people off anyway. But he should have kept that window up,.
