John Kerry

I know it has been mentioned in another thread but this jackass deserves his own with his bone head comments. Funny his own party is trying to distance themselves from him now, just wanting him to go away until after the elections. A quick apology sincere or not and Kerry shutting up would have put this to bed quickly but he doesn't know when to stop.

Like rats off a sinking ship, hilarous...
Per CNN:
"A Democratic official confirms Democratic Senate Candidate Bob Casey has canceled plans to campaign with John Kerry in Philadelphia tonight, reports CNN's John King.
Kerry also cancelled an AM appearance with MN candidate Tim Walz in Mankato, MN. "Walz communication director Meredith Salsbery said Kerry canceled his visit to keep the focus on the issues," reports the Mankato Free Press. "She wouldn't comment on whether Walz asked Kerry not to campaign for him, but said the decision was ultimately the senator's choice."
On Imus this morning, Kerry said "I'm coming back to Washington today so that I'm not a distraction, because I don't want to be a distraction to these campaigns."
A little too late for that now. Mark Foley sends his thanks for taking the hot seat from him.

"You know, education -- if you make the most of it, you study hard and you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well.
If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq"
sounds nothing like,
"I can't overstress the importance of a great education. Do you know where you end up if you don't study, if you aren't smart, if you're intellectually lazy? You end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq."
And considering he and GW had basically the same grades in college, both his actual and "intended" comments are hardly convincing. I think his comment also attacks the squeezed middle class that he supposedly stands up for also. I view the Democratic party as fractured: a high brow intellectual elite and a squeezed middle class. It's almost like he's fighting the 2004 election all over again with the same divisive rhetoric which is odd considering the Dems are trying to go over into middle ground.

An asshat move worthy of NWO board membership. I wonder if he's into THE COLOURFIELD?

And of course he spoke the truth or at least part of it. During a draft collage gets you a deferment at least it did during the Vietnam police action. Also, if you don't have any job prospects after HS you are more likely to join the army.

Stella, make a music post for once in your life. Mike P created this site with the primary goal of bringing New Wave music fans together. WTF are you doing here?

She has Marv...don't you remember the infamous "people who stand in front of you at festival seating concerts" thread. It was a Bobby Vinton concert, wasn't it Stella?

I see the typical Washington half assed apology was given, he's not sorry for what he said just sorry we are all not mind readers and should have known what he meant to say instead.

No, it's what I said I said, not what I said...even thought it's the same thing I've been saying since the 70's.Oh and I'm not going to apologize on my own, I'm going to apologize only after I'm forced to then it really will be heartfelt.
