What the hell is with calling her Madge? I really hate how the media makes up lame nicknames for celebrities. What the hell does Madge have to do with Madonna??? Is it easier to say Madge than Madonna???

I think "Madge" is supposed to denominate her most recent incarnation as phony-English-accented, children's-book-writing, horse-riding Mrs. Ritchie, as compared, say, to Boy Toy or Material Girl.
I'm not really into the whole celebrity Brangelina/Jacko thing either, but with Madonna I can kinda see the need to name each new version.
