Still no Iraq exit "stratigy"?!

Our neocon fascist friends had told us terrorist-loving libs almost 20 months ago that they'd be bringing our insurgent boys home. WTF? Why have you not formulated their exit strategerie yet when you assured us it'd be imminent?! Stop blowing your deceitful smoke, puffing your chests, throwing around your Abramoff money, popping meth, boinking male hookers, and just bring our little brown boys home! You see, that's the thing my huckleberry friend. without an entrance, you don't need an exit. This law of physics applies to many such things. Takes heads up asses for example. one essential component of an exit plan was that that the local Iraqi cops and military would be able to take control of the country. That hasn't happened. Amazing how all the technological advances in the world, in warfare, in the military get pushed aside due to this little basic component.
"Liberal" vs. "conservative" (or "neo-con", or whatever other convenient term people like to use) views on the war aside, this simple blunder is hard to reconcile with. We can't just leave Iraq if there are no cops and military who can hold and maintain order. But it's waaaay past time for us to leave. It's not our fault that Iraqi cops and military can't maintain order. How can we--or anyone else--train these guys effectively ? What else is needed ?
This is so very sad. It really complicates our efforts over there.

I don't think Blir is an elected official whose job is to develop a military exit strategy, so what is the point in asking him? The point is a handful of idiots have done a wonderful job of fucking over the USA, Iraq, the Middle East, and the world in general. If you're trying to distract from the real issue and try to make this about Blir, you failed miserably.

God, you're such a dingleberry. Do I have to spell things out for you again? Away from this site, I have nothing but respect for Blir. I consider Blir a trusted friend (inspite of, and sometimes because of, our political differences). Unlike folks from your universe, we can seperate the silly "realities" of a FN message board and real life. If it was anyone else, I would have left this thread alone, but Blir and I feel free to shit on each others posts for any or no damn reason, and never take offense. It's not like anything said on a message board will have any effect on the situation in Iraq. It's called "not taking yourself so damn serious". Once again you show yourself to be a stupid piece of reactionary phlem, just waiting to be offended by anything and everything I may post, as well as being one helluva dense twit who must have no real friends in the world, because who could possibly agree with you 100% of the time? What irritates me about this is the apologists for the Iraq war. Nearly everyone I know "liberal" or "conservative" now thinks that our starting a war with Iraq was a bad move, based on (at the very least) faulty intelligence. Should we investigate why we really entered the war? Should the people who propagated this fiasco on the American and Iraqi people be called to task for it? Unfortunately, no. No, the Fox News/GOP talking points read: Who started the war, why it was started, and its overall effectiveness to this point are not material anymore--according to the apologists that's all beside the point. Now we have to "stay the course" or something worse might happen. Meanwhile civil war in Iraq goes on, more people worldwide hate America than ever before and we hit a record American body count in October. It defies reason. It's like deciding to arbitrarily stick a needle through your lip 20 times and at time ten, even though at this point you 've figured out it was a bad move, you decide the "stay the course" until time 20 "just to be on the safe side"

Honestly Beatschool and Hutter, I think I just woke up on the shit-stirring side of bed this morning. My bad.

Ironically though, my spit today isn't fueled by either the administration or the bleeding heart libs. I have to laugh at the true Neocons (I likely used the term too loosely earlier) like Richard Perle who egged on the Iraq War and strike-first philosophy but are now trying to wash their hands of the matter. Perle is saying crap like "he would not have advocated the invasion of Iraq if he had known how badly it would be executed." And then morons like Ken Adelman who had predicted a "cakewalk" in Iraq is now trying to absolve hiimself with "They [the Bush admin] turned out to be among the most incompetent teams in the postwar era. Not only did each of them, individually, have enormous flaws, but together they were deadly, dysfunctional."

I guess they're forgetting the fact that these same Neocons, like the abjectly ignorant and dangerous Paul Wolfowitz, had policy control of the White House in its early days, pushing those witless numbnuts toward the dangerous extremes of an unprecedented pre-emptive foreign policy. These duplicitous and disingenous rats are now trying to jump ship after they caused great great damage to the United States. They should all be strung up. It all reinforces my fear of extremists on all sides, who too frequently seem to get the limelight.

So what would you do? Why not take a stab at it, this is only a message board and there are no ideas coming from above.
First you have to make some assumptions about things like, wheather we need oil from Iraq. If we need it we have to keep trying to stabelize the country. If not, than what other issues apply. Can we recapture the moral high ground? That kind of thing.

If there is nothing to be gained and nothing to save than we should get our men out. We could leave as fast as we can move men, without announcing our intent. We than isolate Iraq as much as possible, kick their citizens out of our country, ban them from our shores, freeze their assets, lock them in and let them work it out. Do business with the winner.

That's the easy one, ugly but easy.

The exit strategy the Neocons had was that Iraq would become a new democracy and be friendly/pro to Isreal, and stablilize the region to be a more Isreal-friendly region. This I heard on CNN a few weeks back. Rove, Perle, Wolfowitz, Bell, Kristal are all living on another planet!
