What do you want to hear from a candidate, what would make you really support someone for president? It seems like I mostly vote for the lesser of evils and it's been that way for a long time, supporting someone because I believed them would be a unique experience but what would it look like?

Disgusted with the option during the Bush Sr./Clinton and Dole/Clinton elections, I voted for that goony Ross Perot, in part as a protest, but also in part because what he said on many points made good business sense. He warned us about NAFTA, and we see how that's worked out in our disfavor.

Looking back, I should have voted for the lesser of two evils from the GOP and Dems, but I was younger and more idealistic about the possibility of a third party candidate getting in the white house.

Wow we actualy voted for the same guy at least once. See, we're not all that far apart.

for it to be ME because I would get my prorites right for a start although I think it is a real hard job and I'm not so sure I would want that responsibilty I know if I ran England my first thing would be to put more cops on the streets and run a zero-tolerance policy! I also would put more money into health and education. If I ran America I would also put less money into war and more into not only the aforementioned but into science and the space program and devleoping environmentally sound vehicles and houses,it goes without saying every household would have a robot too, come on vote for me you've never had it so good! [/quote]Yes, and where are the moving sidewalks and flying cars we heard so much about in the 1950's - it's 2006 already. Seriously though, electric cars should be everywhere, and the auto industry needs to produce them again. The EV1 got killed and it was a great vehicle. I knew several people that leased them (you could not buy one, only lease) and they just about cried when (literally) the plug was pulled. There was a movie out recently "Who Killed the Electric Car" -- gotta see it. http://www.sonyclassics.com/whokilledtheelectriccar/

Yes, i was wondering about the moving sidewalks and flying cars myself!Thanks for the link, it is very informative! It does baffle me why they don't produce only environmentally friendly cars especialy when they have known about this stuff for years! it's really bad in the UK as they make it very expensive for people to drive rather than look into this kinda thing! [V]
