I'm watching Monday Night Football with the Packers and I'm just assuming it's in Green Bay. But no, all that fluffy stuff is coming down in Seattle. What a trip.

BTW, Steve Largent was the last clutch Seahawks player. Go Packers!

My commute was took two hours this a.m. I had some important reminders that all-wheel drive doesn't help on ice.

I always hear people complain that those in the NW don't know how to drive in snow . . . it's true in many cases, but we also have a lot of hills and not much in the way of plows, sand trucks, etc., to cope.

I have an important hearing tomorrow morning and am going to have to get up at the crack of fuck to be there on time. [xx(]

I had an early morning meeting today...only a few trees on my street fractured under the weight of the wet snow...blocking both directions!

How funny, I turned the game on and said, man, it must be freezing in Green Bay....Steve Largent????? I have a picture laying around somewhere with my Jim Zorn jersey on when I was a kid...

One thing I don't miss about the great Pacific NW is the black ice. Oh what fun it is to go sliding into oncoming traffic with no ability to stop.

Good to see my Hawks pull it out in the 2nd half. I wonder how many points they would have put up if anyone could hold on to a pass in the end zone. 4 dropped passes in the end zone alone. Largent was truly clutch but my favorite Hawkof all time was Kenny Easley. If his kidneys had held up, he would have been a Hall of Famer.

Sounds tough up there guys, but I gotta get ready myself for a winter of visits to Upstate NY, VT, NH and ME...yeesh.

And yeah, some Seahawk greats. Easley was awesome and prototypical...UCLA guy. And now no one remembers the original Curt Warner, a great back. Zorn was the trailblazer and from near where I grew up, Whittier CA.

When I lived there, Seattle had about one snowplow per million people and those little turtle reflectors on the roads that make plowing impossible. I think it was in 1990 Seattle got about a foot of snow. My wife was working on the other side of Lake Washington and couldn't get home. She ended up sharing a motel room with about three other school teachers.

I remember that snow! The same thing happened to me. I had just finished my tax final and had gone to Bellevue (other side of the lake) to visit my dad. I was stuck there for two days.

I made it in to my hearing this a.m., 32 miles of ice. I just got in the right lane and drove sloooowly.

P.S. Some colleagues who went to the 'Hawks game left Seattle at 9:30 p.m. and got back to Olympia (60 miles south) at 4:30 a.m.!
