Mom Allegedly Microwaves Baby

DAYTON, Ohio -- A woman has been charged in the death of her infant daughter, who authorities believe might have been put in a microwave oven.

Her attorney said the Dayton woman was horrified when investigators told her a microwave oven might have been involved.

Defense lawyer Jon Paul Rion also denied that China Arnold had anything to do with the baby's death.

Police said Arnold was arrested at her home Monday on a charge of aggravated murder. Her 1-month-old daughter, Paris Talley, died in August of last year.

Police Sgt. Gary White won't say the child was definitely put into a microwave, though he said a microwave has been taken into evidence.

Ken Betz, director of the Montgomery County coroner's office, says authorities have scientific evidence to support that a microwave oven might have been involved in the death.

Police said the baby was dead when Arnold brought her to Children's Medical Center last year. The death was ruled a homicide caused by hyperthermia, or high body temperature, due to thermal energy.

I thought if you microwave somebody, their innards will explode or something. Oh, well, must be all those C-grade horror flicks I've been watching as a kid.

This is just so fucking sick. I hope the mother gets cut in prison her first day. That baby didn't go quick. A microwave cooks from the inside out. That is the worst story of abuse I have ever heard.

I dunno. I'll reserve judgment. Maybe she is a coldhearted sociopathic bitch . . . but, possibly she could be severely schizophrenic or something - which, if is the case then I don't wish her any harm. Microwaving a baby seems to be a rather odd way to kill a child.

Sounds like she may be severely insane.
