I've found myself listening pretty much to pre-85 new wave exclusively for the past year or two. I don't know why, I was into other stuff before...

Maybe it's because I discovered so many new, old bands & songs through this site that it's like being exposed all over again. I do feel like a relic now when I have no clue who people are talking about, but honestly, I don't really have an interest in hearing the latest Throbbing Bladder Bag release featuring MC Pooped My Pantz.

I'm somewhere between enthusiastic and diehard, but closer to diehard, so that's how I voted. This site has made me a lot more diehard.

I dont know...It goes in spurts. I will go a month of nothing but new wave about 4+ hours a day. Also I will switch to Italo.
I also pick up a lot of disco, techno, house, ragtime, industrial, psychedelic rock, psy-trance, goa.

Although mainly new wave I sprinkle in some Abba, Bee Gees, ELO, Meatloaf, Cheaptrick, 80's dance, Hair Metal, Rascal Flatts, and my new current fav My Chemical Romance.

Meh. I listen to heaps of New Wave, but have a pretty varied musical diet. While I generally listen to all varieties of old 70's and 80's wave/punk/power pop/hardcore/synth/electronic/ska etc., I also like a lot of new stuff as well. Plus, I listen to a lot of folk music from the old country as well as classical, dancehall, 1950's and early 60's American pop.

This is exactly how I feel.
Far and few in between, I listen to other music. New electronica/electroclash catches my interest, or marvymarv's smooth chillout CDs.[:)]

If I were a polygamist, my two husbands would be [b]new wave[/b] and [b]industrial/EBM[/b] and we would be having threesomes all the time. [:D]

Mostly New Wave here but sprinkled with classical, jazz, hard rock and hair bands.

Same as scramjet plus some classical music

An enthusiastic one as I also enjoy 90's brit pop and certain prog rock bands a LOT. Also very into indie.

I'm not sure because some of the newwave I listen to now I have only heard recently and was too young in the 80s! Like for example, DEVO was more my older brother's era than mine but I got into them this last year! I'd say this last year I have mainly listend to newwave and also classic punk rock but I also like new stuff liek Lost Prophets, Kaiser Chiefs etc and I have been listening to Oasis now their best-off is out as I was a rela indie/grunge kid in the 90s! That stuff would porbably be up there with newwave I guess! [:D]

Devolution is real

In the 80's, I knew several people who would only listen to 60's music. They thought everything else sucked and wasn't worth listening too. I didn't want to become one of these burntout music snobs.

For me it's a mixture of old and new, although there was a period in the late 80's and parts of the 90's that I didn't listen to New Wave and sold off most my vinyl and cassettes, I did replace most of them with CD's, but didn't really listen to them much.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but it's my opinion that no one decade is better than the other, I've discovered plenty of good music in the late 80's and 90's, and continue to find musical gems to this day.

I feel most nostalgic about the 80's, and that's why it dominates my music collection and that's why I came to this forum, but I can only handle it in small doses these days, 1 or 2 hours a day.

I'm 50/50. I love listening to all the old stuff ,but I think my musical brain would shrivel up and die if I wasn't exposed to new music on a regular basis.My first stop on this site is usually the next wave page.

I also got hooked on Psychobilly in the mid 90's, mainly Reverend Horton Heat and Southern Culture on the Skids.

I listen to everything regardless of era or genre. Just finished a workout with Stravinsky playing in the background. This time tomorrow it may be Yello, or maybe Slim Whitman.
