He really made an ass of himself on the view last week. How you can get on the set drunk then be allowed on air to top it off. Nobody from the view staff could tell he was bombed? He ends up on Rosie's lap in a Charley McCarthyesque moment.

I thought it was funny as heck. I've always like Danny DeVito from Taxi to Drowning Mona to Romancing the Stone. The way I see it is "So What" CNN and FOX News have had something everyday on the whole thing. There's nothing better than a funny drunk. Politicaly, I don't think Danny cares one way or the other. He's Pals with Arnold and George Cloony, complete opposites. From what I saw he bashed Clinton as well as Bush. Anywho thats MHO

I thought the comments on the YouTube.com page were far more interesting than the video - which I though was just sort of moronic and a non-issue, since it has been so hyped on tv and I hadn'e seen it yet.
The comments are so unbelievably vitriolic and absurd from both sides. Sort of embarrassing really and just slightly scary that those are the "accepted" forms of political discourse now. Weird.

Ben is right, who cares? I bet Danny doesn't care either. Its not like he is some asshole putting people down etc. He was drunk, so what. I like him alot anyway. He is not the only one is the biz that drinks. He is no Michael Richards news wise.

These days, being drunk & amusing on TV should be the least of any celebrity's worries. At least he was wearing underwear, not shouting racist things, hinting at murdering his ex-wife, or marrying his prisoner in Italy.
Besides, as I recall Judy Garland made a career out of being absolutely shit-faced on TV for years.

Or the rat pack. They were always wasted and people loved them. Danny is cool. And did not say sorry over and over. I think Kramer is now going to let the guys he insulted butt rape him to prove he is not racist. He gets the "alright already" award.
