Not as sweet as Coop's NY vinyl experience, but I just got back from the going-out-of-business Tower Records in Burlington, MA where I got the following, all brand new copies:
newest releases by Tahiti 80, Rogue Wave, Human Television, Camera Obscura, Television Personalities, imports by The Shortwave Set, The Boy Least Likely To, an import Maximo Park b-sides collection, the last Go-Betweens with bonus live disc, and the Rhino reissue of Dream Syndicate's Days of Wine and Roses. All between 60-75% off. Total cost: $64.26

I could have spent $175, but between the new house, issues with the new house, Christmas presents, school loans, and my amazingly shitty salary, I can barely afford $65 right now.
People keep telling me it'll get better.

Your financial situation will get better once you put some cash into high-yield savings accounts and other small-time conservative investments. However, Tower's selection is dwindling by the hour, so that by the time it's down to 25 cents per cd, the store will be picked clean of anything worth 25 cents. I'd say today is a good day to blow another 65 bucks[}:)]
I went there yesterday and I got:
- Howard Jones compilation
- Organisation OMD "remaster" with extra tracks (I already have the cd, but it's not the "remaster" version[xx(] )
- Human After All by Daft Punk
- Some kind of Synergy cd from 2002
- A 1980 Yello album
- 2 cds by Jamiroquai[:0]
[:D]
- 1 other cd, but I forget what it is at the moment
For a grand total of 26 bucks![8D]

I just heard some kind of sound distortion at the end of the track "You Move Me" in the Comsat Angels cd, which happens to be my favourite song in the whole damn cd and it's probably a source problem not the actual cd... I think[xx(]
