Back in the 80's I was in a band called the Techno Peasants. We were an all electronic band (3 keyboard players)from Orange County, CA. We came up with the name because we were into technology and we were poor, not becasue we were into "Techno" music. I put up a little site about a year ago and haven't done much to it in a year, but I thought some of the members here into electronic music might get a kick out of it. There are a couple of rough demos on the site. This was at a time when we recorded live to cassette. Check it out at:

Sounds very good to me[8D]
I'd like to hear more.
It wouldn't surprise me if some people who post regularly on this board saw you play "in the day". That is if they weren't too stoned/spaced/drunk to remember[;)]

Sounds good to me too - too bad you guys stopped making music! I say a reunion may be in order [:p]

P.S. Your thread is just fine right where it is. Welcome to the New Wave Outpost [8D]

Thank you! I will be updating the site soon and adding more music. I will also give a complete history and some other information. I was dedicated to the project and even to this day wonder what would have happened if everyone else in the band felt the same way. Our lead keyboard player had more talent in his pinky than I did in my whole body, but he was a jazz/fusion/rock guy and was always looking for another band. The downfall of the Techno Peasants was adding a new singer who claimed to be into electronic music, but really just wanted into the band to transform it to a rock band. That is basically what happened and I quit.

I'm not happy to admit this, but I took all of the tapes that I had and put them into a box and set it on fire and threw it in front of our practice area (I was young!) and they were saved by the same singer that I mentioned. It took me twenty years to get the tapes back and cost me a 60GB Video iPod to do so, but I got everything. I have to go through all the tapes and pick out some stuff for the website.

I am still friends with the singer and all is good. Kind of lost touch with everyone else though. The singer (Jhon Frazier) is in a new band and just released a new CD. Check out his band (IF.) if you get a chance at:
