Yeah, Chim-Chim's GOTTA be in there! And Trixie has GOTTA be totally hot. Who should be cast as Speed though? Racer X would have to be uber cool whoever it is. And whay storyline? A modified episode remake? The race through the volcano? The epic 3-parter of "the most dangerous race"? Speed trying to conquer the GTX? The monster car? Man oh man, the possibilities.

Pessimistic? Naw...realist. Hollywood doesn't feel like they did their job unless they get to piss in the drink to make it "taste better".

I heard that Vince Vaughn will be playing Speed.
I don't know if thats bad or good.
I hope its not a spoof movie where everything that I hold dear about speed racer is all turned into bad jokes.

Thats why I cant watch "I Love the 80's" on VH1. I cant stand those inane, noname comedians talking shit about everything I grew up with. It would be better to hear from people who actually have fond memories and could share some nice 80's anecdotes. Bastards [V][:D]

I think this should be a George Lucas vehicle rather than a Wachowski brothers production.

How come speed was always dumfounded everytime he discovered that Spritle and Chim Chim stowed away in the not so secret compartment?

Did anyone else as a kid notice that people actually died in these cartoons. (As a kid) I remember feeling sorry for the happless inocent drivers that were pushed off the cliff and killed in the fiery explosion.

If anyone can pull off "Speed Racer" it's Hal Needham. Car races, humor, and Dom DeLuise as Pops. Yep.
