Maybe not rock, but "Lotta Love" by Nicolette Larson is a great flute-y song.
Well, it was written by Neil Young, so I guess it does count, after all.

Pretty much the entire Jethro Tull catalog actually. "Living In The Past", "Life's A Long Song". "Bungle In The Jungle". "Thick As A Brick", etc.
The flute was their calling card.
Now excuse me as I head off to the Rennaisance Festival.....

Some Moody Blues tracks had excellent flute playing but my favorite use of flute in a rock song is Firefall's "Strange Way". That's just one cool song. [8D]

motors, that Firefall song is a great tune. I think their song "You are the Woman" also features some flutage.

I am pretty sure "Can't You See" by the Marshal Tucker Band has some nice flute playing at the end of the song.
