Okay, I'm going to go off on a snotty rant here. Even though I am not the administrator of this board, I'm gonna put out some guidelines.
1. No all-uppercase message subjects. This is the year 2007, and we have enjoyed the luxury of mixed-case computers for quite a while now. Postin g in all uppercase makes you look like you are a shouting mouthbreather. Not being originally from America does not grant you exemption from this.
2. One, I repeat, one topic per band request. If you are looking for that elusive track by, say, Bang Tango, only post it once. Do not post it to multiple sections of the forum. You see, we have this amazing ability to scan all the forum sections in one shot with "Active Posts". I think it uses that web 2.0 technology or something. By posting 2 or more times about the same band(on the same day) results in horrible criss-cross communication. Nothing gets done.
3. Don't send private email replies which could easily be expressed as replies on the forum. Replying to me publicly about the best song by Los Microwaves isn't a threat to national security. No, really. In fact, please don't privately message me at all unless it gets me a hot date with Scarlet Johansen.
4. Before hitting the pleasure trigger of "new topic" about band xxx, do a little search for it on the search engine. The little hamsters in their wheels will run, some steam will shoot out of some smokestacks(think Pee-Wee Herman's breakfmast machine), and 2 minutes later it will show you the 20 previously-made threads about said band. Take a look there.
