What a fuckin bummer.
Cat's Cradle, Breakfast of Champions, and Slaughterhouse Five are some of the best books I've ever read.

Best author I've ever read! Just saw his cameo last week on Comedy Central in Rodney Dangerfield's "Back to School" with Oingo Boingo!!!

yeah..he was a big fan of the group,,AMBROSIA and an influence on them.

He and Mark Twain are my two favorite authors. While I am not happy he's dead, I'm not sad either. The man left an amazing gift to humanity with his writings. He lives on through his writings.

I wish Vonnegut could have come closer to the immortality Woody was talking about. One of the reasons he was one of my favorite novelists is that you could read a few of his books and argue just about anything in a college term paper. [8D]

Very true. In school, I wrote a paper discussing both Jonestown and Cat's Cradle. I don't remember much about the content of the paper (been far too long), but I do remember how much I enjoyed bringing Vonnegut into the discussion.
