I liked Bob Seger, J Geils Band, Cheap Trick Live at Budakon is still a classic. Shawn Cassidy was awesome as was Nick Gilder's Hot Child in the City.

I've got a fever, and the only prescription, is more uppercase letters.

For 70's music that's not new wave there are only two words: "Led" and "Zeppelin".

Throw in Starland Vocal Band, Peaches & Herb, and The Carpenters and you've about got it covered.

Good point tiger. It's a tough call on whether The Zep or C&T is my favorite 70's non-new wave band. So many similarities and intersecting influences. The debate rages on whether Whole Lotta Love or Immigrant Song was the primary inspiration for Love Will Keep Us Together. Of course LWKUT is one of those rare, great songs that builds on and surpasses it's influences to create a totally original piece of art. A monumental achievement.

Great ones.
I have a few guilty pleasures from the 70's like Olivia Newton John, Seals and Croft Mama's and the Papas mostly because they remind me of my mom. I also really like the Baby's although i don't know if there stuff is more 70's than 80's. Ah well!
