Any hockey fans here? I didn't pay much attention this year, mainly because the Bruins suck so bad. Are the Sabres good enough to win the cup? Will the Senators choke once again? Who's the best in the west? Can anyone find OLN to watch a game?

I like the Sharks too, but only because our hometown Canuckleheads are a disappointing one man show.

The Sabres can roll out four powerful lines and keep pounding with offense. I think they'll take the cup. They already knocked out my team (I saw it coming).
The reason you can't find OLN is because it's now called "Versus".

Go Habs Go! (err, next year)
I'm hoping for either Detroit or Ottawa, and for Vancouver to lose so that I can laugh at all my friends [:D].

Sens all the way!
Gotta say though that Buffalo really looks good. Hard to get a real hate on for a team when you really like the way they play hockey. If Ottawa can get by NJ it should be a hell of a series.
SJ in the west, but Anaheim will give them a run for their money. Detroit seems overated and Vancouver seems done (but I hope I'm wrong).

Tough for me to see the Rangers beating the Sabres. From the West, Anaheim looks to be the best team, although in fairness, I haven't seen as much of the West. They made Vancouver look real bad the other night.
I'd say it'll be a Buffalo/Anaheim final.

I agree with you eight6. But I am still hoping for a win in game 2.
Also, the Islanders did much better then I thought they would playing Buffalo. So there is always hope.

Ted Nolan factor...They were lucky to win even one game.

One day when you get an NHL team, you'll come to appreciate the game.

I harken back to our glory years here when we had the Roadrunners in the WHA and my level of interest in hockey was at it's peak. Since the Coyotes have been here, we have the greatest player in the history of the game, unfortunately, he doesn't lace up his skates and he sits behind the bench every game. He quite possibly may be the worst coach in the history of the NHL, after all, he hasn't made the playoffs since he's been here (doesn't everyone make the playoffs in the NHL?) and the only reason he is staying is because of his ownershp interest in the team. They have no players that anyone would want to go see, they've traded away any attractions they have had, have a lousy TV contract (as does the NHL - Versus? What the heck, I was watching the Major Indoor Soccer League Playoffs on that channel- that's the best they can do???) and are ridiculously priced. Their new stadium is a good 45 minute drive from my house if they play on the weekend, much longer if they play on a weeknight due to traffic. I've actually LOST interest in hockey since we got a team....but I think Buffalo wins it all (since Toronto failed to make the playoffs as well....oops) and I'll go with Detroit in the West even though they lost game 1.

No TO fan here...with the way MLSE holds the fans up for ransom on a yearly basis, I could never support them. I could drive an hour to Buffalo, and get 4 tickets for the price of one for a Leafs game.
Re: the TV contract...I think the NHL has failed miserably on just about every network now...they should take the hint. I think the Fox puck effects were hilarious. Maybe HD will help people follow the puck.
I can tell you this, once you catch a puck or 2 in the face, you ALWAYS know where it is.
