I was just flipping through the channels and on came The Karate Kid. It was the Gold 'n' Stuff scene - awesome! Did any other SoCal folks frequent this place in the 80s?

It was a classic casual date place...pretty much just like in the movie. Early on in college at UC Irvine I was dating this girl all the way the hell up in Rosemead. Golf 'n' Stuff was a good meeting place (along with this cheesy dance place called Kingdom of the Dancing Stallions - which played a lot of New Order though).
I actually took my kids there when visiting last year. It was a TRIP being in my old stomping grounds with them but over 20 years removed! They still had the go-carts and the bumper boats but not the trampoline basketball...a blast but you couldn't walk after doing that. They didn't have this twirlygig thing back then, but the kids seemed to love it. Funny how the boys are freaking but the girlie is just laughing hysterically:

Anyway, just recollectin'.
