Not crazy about a lot of their choices, but at least it's not predictable. Cool articles, especially about one of my favorites, Ran:
"Gesamtkunstwerk… Richard Wagner’s lingo for the total work of art that marries music, drama, visual art and poetry into a unified whole...Akira Kurosawa’s work embodies this concept more overtly than pretty much any other filmmaker. Ran is Kurosawa’s masterwork, the perfect synthesis of his life’s work."
