QUICKIE--Which song do you feel has tested the ages of time the best-- any song from the rock era--with one stipulation--NOT a song by a band or artist that is considered to be an iconic band or artist--Beatles, Stones, Dylan,U2, ETC, but a band or artist that had one or a few hits, yet not considered to be one of "THE" artists of the era?

My choice--"Time Of The Season" by the Zombies. Seems like no matter what city or state I may be in, this tune still gets lots of airplay.
Runner up--"Happy Together" by the Turtles

And to think I wasted time on those charlatans in Roswell...[V]

I'm glad you like this movie, shovel--Blir's one of the only ones I know who also knows of [i]Fandango[/i]'s existence. However, I didn't know until now WHY this movie resonates so much for him....Bir, that's an awesome story ! I can't believe you did that. No wonder.

I'm hazy on the definition of iconic. The very longevity of these songs might define the artists as iconic, but none of them had lots of hits.

"I Will Survive" - Gloria Gaynor

I'd say Donna Summer's I Feel Love has had some major legs & influence. That's my vote & I'm sticking to it.
