I'm still friends with someone I met in Kindergarten.....so that would be 41 years. Whenever he comes into town we manage to hook up.

Next up is Alfred who I've known for 33 years and we still communicate at least once a month, followed my Makel at 27 years who lives about 2 miles from me.

I can't believe these years are flying by like this.....

I am great friends with Bfflogrrl, who sometimes posts here. She & I have known each other since 1968 or 69. She's pretty awesome & we have had a couple decades of incredible fun.

Around 1981, she introduced me to a couple of girls & the 4 of us would all go out to the one club that played New Wave here. I am still friends with them too. Matter of fact I speak to one a few times a week, and we all live within a few miles of each other.

The kindegarten thing is pretty amazing Max. My wife is actually still BEST friends with her kindegarten friend.

Being a military brat, I'd don't have anything like that. My closest friends go back to freshman year in high school. As a foursome we still go out to concerts, movies or clubs when I stop into SoCal. Good new wave fans - the Plimsouls at Anaheim HOB was our last outing together. A fourth guy who oddly never became tight with the other three was actually my best man, and together they were my entire wedding party. I also went to college with the latter, and we even worked together at the same tech company up in NoCal for awhile. As close as these guys are, I really know no one outside of this group from back then.

I have one friend that goes back to kindergarten that I still keep in touch with. I have several others that go back to 8th grade that I email regularly and get together with as occasion permits. I was at one of these guys's house a few nights ago. The friend from kindergarten was my college roommate and introduced me to the gal who's been Mrs. scramjet for the past 18+ years.

I was also a military brat, so I don't go so far back.
My oldest friends pretty much came out of my freshman year of HS--1981/2-ish.
I am still in touch with some of my closest friends from back then.

One of my Best Friends (I had two) from back then was and is Shovelbum ![8D] I'll have to go unearth a picture of the evidence, heh.

I have had one friend my whole life. Sometimes he whispers in my ear.He tells me to do bad things. I don't want to but he keeps telling me to! The doctors say he is imaginary. That makes him mad. We will show them! We will show them all!

Well, KYYX, I have to say that you're my "oldest" friend, too! (Ahem!)

In fact, it was 1982 and we'd just moved in two doors down from you and you were all excited because you asked me what kind of music I liked and I mentioned I'd just bought the new Police "tape" (ahem again!). You couldn't wait to listen to it![:D]

(Yes, I was an army brat, too.)

Well, I met one of my closest friends when I was 6... so that's 14 years of friendship so far but I'll guess they'll be a lot more cause her mum is best friend's with mine's since more or less the same time.

<p align="justify">What is this "friend" you are all speaking of[}:)] I met a couple of people at my old job and a few in community college back in the late 90s and early 2000s, but I seldom keep contact with them since they're all over the state or country. Strangely enough, the one time in the year we get together feels like time did not pass for me. Well, they look different and have moved onto other life projects (i.e. marriage, kids, professions, etc) and I've been frozen in time since the time they met me[}:)]

I still keep in touch with a friend I met in 4th grade ... that would be 35 yrs. ago. She's still in the Atlanta area and I'm in the midwest now but we talk, email, see each other when we're in the same city ... Geez, I'm one of the older ones on this board I suppose. Older and wiser[8D]
