Flu Season Is Here

That crummy feeling, voimiting, diarria season hits again, at least on the West Coast in Cali...

So I had to go to this board meeting on Monday, someone was infected because Tuesday morning at 4:45-ish AM--drivin' the old porcelin bus to town... and sitting on it like every 20 minutes for two days after that as well (you know what I mean!).

Wednesday, son pukes up chicken nuggets and chocolate ice cream, two down, one to go... Mrs. Glok blows this morning...

So everyone get your shot, beef-up on your herbs and vitamins, this is a violent one on both ends of your digestive tract! [xx(]

Wow. I almost feel guilty for just having a sore throat [:D] I know I got it on that flight back from Paris. And I knew I should not have forgotten to bring my Airborne along on this trip [:(!]

There are times when I love the little 'friendships' that I've acquired on this board. I love sharing thoughts on obscure music, talking about what we watch on tv, and who are favorite sports teams are. Hell, we even get to see pictures of ourselves and talk about our kids.
Then there are other times when I feel I need to know a little less about a person.

This would be the latter. [;)]

sorry to hear about your predicament, glok. By "sorry", I mean sorry that we all had to hear this.
I kid ![:o)]
Hope you are feeling better and that the effects have not been long-lasting.

I have been so very lucky. I have never had the flu, and rarely get colds. I attribute it to healthy German stock--my folks rarely got sick either, and I can't remember any time they had the flu.
There is a saying amongst us teachers that we always get what's going around. And trust me, the kids are ALWAYS sick. But I wash my hands a lot, drink a lot of fluids, and try not to touch my students.

I got the flu like 3 years ago and was out of work for almost a month. Ever since I've gotten the flu shot and haven't been sick at all! [|)]

I have always had a weak immune system and shudder to think about my longevity if I'd been born even 100 years ago. Fortunately, vitamins, exercise, and stress management keep me healthy. I'll still get my flu shot this year!
