Glad someone else likes these as much as I did & still do!what warner bros did to the coyote was like a weekend at club med compared to how Barney was totaled in his cartoons. The artwork was unparaleled!too bad these gems are hidden away.I don't know if MGM still retains the rights to it??One would think with so much avilable on DVD these days that would be out by now!.Found these 2 from a search off of www.ovguide.com
Still lots to discover there!

Rudolf Ising modeled Barney Bear after the actor Wallace Beery, who was under contract at MGM at the time.
Animator-Director Dick Lundy said in an interview that when he was assigned the Barney Bear character during the early 1950's (he had been hired by MGM to temporarily replace Tex Avery, who was on a one-year hiatus), he had envisioned a "Wallace Beery"-type. Barney Bear had virtually no dialogue in his cartoons during the 1940's but in the 1950's he was voiced by voice-actor Paul Frees.
