So, earlier this year, I'm at SXSW and before I head back to the hotel one night, I pop into a bar and see an awesome band with an extremely charismatic singer called The Ringers.


A couple of months ago, I see this Cingular commercial where this guy is with some girl in Vegas and I say to myself "That dude looks just like the singer in The Ringers".

Tonight, I'm watching the movie "Accepted" and I see this guy delivering kegs and I'm thinking, that looks just like that singer from The Ringers.

I look it up on imdb.com and sure enough, same guy for all 3. Turns out he's an actor, stand-up comic and lead singer of The Ringers.

Isn't he also the weird doctor dude on House MD?? I think there's also a drunk guy that looks just like him in every bar I walk into.

He's also in a VW commercial. I always remember this guy because he's so profoundly unattractive.

Nope, although he looks awfully similar ... The House dude is an actor named Hugh Laurie - British I believe.

Hugh Laurie is slated to play The Submariner (Namor) from Marvel Comics. One of my favorites. Known to switch sides in the middle of a fight when he was with the Avengers. Hope he does the role Justice.
