New Wave Outpost Forum

.... and it only took me 2 plus years. Yeah, I know what your thinking ,big deal. The 1,000 post mark are happening in 2 months by some members. [:o)]
Some of you might know me better by my old user name ( Tom D. )I thought it was time for a change. Spit was the name of a Boston club. Sure had some good times there back in the day.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to one and all. I don't always post or reply as much as I would like but I do a lot of reading. Some post make me think , maybe learn a thing or two and some post just make me laugh out loud.
I would also like to thank the many people for sharing so many great rare new wave/80's songs at the obscure 80's forum. Man , sometimes I feel like a kid in the candy store.
If you can stomach it ( I know this post is sappy )I would like to say one more thanks to the man who started it all , MikeP .
I think I should end this now before I make someone sick . [:D]

Congrats! When I was a wee lad and was the first to hit the thousand mark, I was yelled at mostly.When I broke 2, 3 and 4, it was the same. After I broke the 5 mark I retired.
Anyway glad to have such nice people here now. There was a time when.....oh there I go again. really though its cool having you here congrats!

Thanks for taking the time to post here ben . It makes one feel welcomed. It would of been nice if maybe just one of the moderators replied .Oh well , I guess they must be too busy taken care of other peoples business. [;)]

Congrats on your 1000th posts. We had a great club called SPIT here on Long Island. It was my favorite hang out.

Spit, uh Tom D. Congrats on 1,000. Sometimes it's a good thing to take time to reach certain acheivements. In this case I would say that your posts are more meaningful and less fluff.

I know, huh? I mean there's only like 60 some people with 1000+ posts, so you'd think they'd hold a special candle-lighting ceremony or give out an e-card or something when each one passed the 1000 post mark. This forcing us to make self-important demands is just unseemly. Frankly I want some fucking fireworks every time I hit another 1000 or at least pass out some sparkers.
