Help! NWO hack attack - missing forum descriptions

Well, wouldn't you know it? I've been sick for the past few days and I check in only to find that the board's database has been hacked. [:(!] The damage was minimal but as you may have noticed, the forum descriptions have been truncated along with some of the polls.
Don't worry, your passwords are safe and encrypted. The snake only appeared to blindly insert some cookie script into certain fields.
I'm asking anyone to let me know when they first noticed the truncated forum descriptions or anything else unusual in the past few days. I'm trying to nail down the date and time. Please reply if you have any info.
I may have to take the site down for a few hours tonight while I straighten everything out.
Thanks!

I highly doubt this was directed by anyone with any interest in this board. This was just a random attack from what I can tell. Message boards and blogs are popular targets for this sort of thing.

So it was a totally lame and pathetic attack which had little to no effect whatsoever???
I blame the "masterminds" behind the New Wave ZZZZone. [:D]

Yo haX0rs, targeting teh NWO interweb board is for LUSERS!!!!!!!111one
Seriously, it's a major bummer this board got hacked into. Hopefully you've already beefed up security for this board so that the hackers wouldn't find a portal to do something like this again in the future. And hopefully you're feeling better. So sorry you've been ill recently, particularly since it happened during the holidays and all.
Edit to say that you should do a Google search for "new wave outpost" board, click on the cached copy of your board (it's the first result that pops up), and ta-da, a copy of the board including full descriptions will pop up.

Mike, sorry I can't be more accurate but I attempted to access the NWO on Thursday afternoon or early evening (I can't remember exactly when) and got a screen that said that the service wasn't available. Don't know if that helps you pinpoint the hack time or if that's when you were checking to see what damage was done.

Mike, I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but it appears that the search function is only returning results from the last 12 months or so. [:(]

Thanks for the tip ... I didn't realize that. The archive search option doesn't seem to work either.

The formatting has been off at least since Monday, possibly last Friday, but I can't remember exactly how long ago I noticed it. Sorry. [:(]
