I watched "Road House" last weekend. It was one of three Patrick Swayze movies they played in the day long "Swayze Gone Crazy" Marathon.

Anywho, I never realized that the smarmy bartender at the Double Duece was none other than John Doe from X.

He was also in the movie 'Pure Country'. He was the drummer in George Strait's (Dusty) band and best friend....[:D]!
I feel odd knowing this...but I am from Texas[:p]!

He also played the Dad in Gypsy 83 which has an awesome Cure soundtrack. Odd for a movie about a Stevie Nicks fan & a trek to "A Night of a Thousand Stevies." I guess Stevie wouldn't license any of her music for the film.

It's not the greatest movie, but really worth checking out & John Doe is, as always, pretty good.

Hey I've been looking for that damn soundtrack and no one has had any in stock lately.....

I thought I was the only one to see that movie. It did capture the lives of the goth and gay pretty well. I had a lot of friends that the movie reminded me of. And when the guy finally makes it to the club only to be called a poser by the other gay/goths was so very real unfortunately. The 80's were very cliquey, lucky for me I hung out with every crowd.
