$5/month fee for music downloads

Interesting idea. No surprise, the labels are crying it's an alternative delivery system, no can do.

Well...I read the article and I have two questions:
1. Do we know whether any of the money would go into the artists' pockets?
2. Do we really believe that Randy Bachman used the word "paradigm" correctly in a sentence?



We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

1. In Canada, there has been a blank media levy in place for over 20 years, initially to deal with cassette copying of music which then extended to CDs and DVDs. IMO they already have their $5.00 and if they aren't getting their share from this levy, a new one likely won't funnel to them either.

2. He's still alive? Who knew?

Not only is Randy still alive but "word of the day" toilet paper is still readily available!
