We only had carbamazepine (bipolar disorder medication), phenytoin (combats seizures), and caffeine in our water here in Louisville.

This is crazy!
I noticed that my city, Albuquerque, claims we test negative. Hmm.
An interesting note is that prescription meds/ pharmas are specifically formulated to work in the human body at low doses. That's what they do. So this has more implications and long-term effects than we realize.[:(]

You caught me, Marv. I've been saying we should put prozac and zocor in the drinking water for years, but didn't belive anyone would do it.[:o)]
Seriously, this report is dead on. Between urine and stool levels of prescription drugs patients take and the fact that people still often flush expired meds down the toliet is what got us here. The problem and KYYX pointed out is we have absolutely no idea the long term health implications of this. This is especailly concerning when one thinks about severe idiopathic (can happen at any dose) side effects. Many drugs have such life-threatening effects, and it would be impossible
EPA inspects hospitals and health-systems to insure proper disposal of medications (especially things like Chemo Drugs) under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), but how do you police the populace on this?

Did I mention that I only drink pure grain alcohol and rain water? I can't have these commie plots sap and impurify my precious bodily fluids. It's what makes my life essence so desirable.

yah, I know. I was wondering what can be done about this. I bet the pharmaceutical cos. will think about developing a drug to put into our water supply to break down all those drugs ! heh heh.
p.s. Uh oh. Never mind. If that were to happen, we'd all be ingesting some kind of superdrug that would start breaking down the drugs in our own bodies ! Either way, the cos. will ret rich.

Blir, that's funny.
was it the commies or us that were alleged to be hatching some kind of evil plot back in the day to disperse LSD or some kind of mind-controlling drug through our water systems ?

This isn't the first time I've heard about someone masturbating in a Wal Mart parking lot.

Ha! On the news, they said it's steroids, birth control and anti-psycho meds in our water. So, I'm not going to get knocked up because I'm going to be growing a shenis? But I'll be happy about it?
(Hmmmm. CNN lists different meds in our water. Who knows what I'm drinking!?!?!?!)

Shenis?!?!?!? That's awesome - thanks for the laugh this morning!
According to my local news, my water supposedly has no prescription drugs in it. That's good, I wouldn't know what to do with a mangina.
