It's gotta be heartbreaking for the people in Vero Beach and those who used to make the pilgrimage there. [V]

My funny Dodger story- growing up in Arizona, we had no baseball team and we would spend hours listening to the Dodgers and Vin Scully on the radio (Crap I sound old). Ron Cey, The Penguin, was my favorite player and the infield of Cey, Russell, Lopes and Garvey was a mainstay.

Anyway, years later, I was at the Food Court in the mall here in Scottsdale during Spring Training and who should walk by with his tray of food but Davey Lopes, who was coaching with the Brewers I believe at the time. After stumbling to get the words out, my conversation went something like this: "Hi Mr. Lopes, I am a huge Ron Cey fan, it's nice to meet you" (extending my hand to shake his)..
he limply shook my hand and grumbled as he walked away.
