Sci-Fi in the US has finally picked up this series. An airdate hasn't been announced, yet. It first ran here in Canada on Space, back in 2005. It is a Can/S. Africa co-production. Personally, I loved the series, though I did come to it late. I got caught up with the "clip episode" in it's first run. Taped the remainder of the series when it re-ran in Fall '05. Keep your eyes peeled for it. I'll just be happy to finally see a N. American DVD release of it. [:)] It ran one season, 20 eps.

Ouch! After showing 2 episodes, Sci-Fi has moved CJ to Tuesdays at 3 am. [:(] If any are watching this series, consult Sci-Fi's schedule and set your recording machines accordingly.

Story:
Yesterday morning we heard that The Sci Fi Channel is moving Charlie Jade to a new day and time. Starting next week, it’ll be taking over the coveted Monday 3am slot.

I can’t be too upset by this. Clearly the show was underperforming on Friday nights and the programming wizards at SciFi needed to move it. What impresses me is the depth of analysis they performed to figure out its new home. Who knew Charlie Jade did so well with insomniacs and people who buy Flowbies?

Taking its place on Fridays will be a repeat of the prior week’s episode of Doctor Who. I can’t say anything bad about the great British import other than asking how he keeps his neck warm without a proper muffler.

SciFi made several errors with Charlie Jade, some of them specific to this show and some of them indicative of systemic flaws. I figured I’d use this opportunity not just to look at the ways they went wrong, but also to discuss the future of science fiction television. ...
Don't know if any have been watching this series, especially after Sci-Fi moved it. I figure it would be easier taping it and then watching it at one's leisure afterwards, seeing as it does require one to pay attention to what is going on. Many clues are visual ones.

If any are watching it, I thought I'd mention that there are podcast commentaries for the episodes, as well. These are online at:

After a slow start, things have been moving along, with some questions answered and other new ones introduced. The most recent episode was the 5th of 20 (21 including the recap episode between eps. 16 and 17). Though lately more noir than sci-fi, I thought episode 5 included one awesome fight sequence.
