I don't know if it was recent the death of their drummer or the Mamma Mia! stage show, but I can't help it. I have been on an ABBA kick lately. I can't stop listening to their music. During the 70's I liked them but didn't go ga-ga over them.

I've been spending late nights watching and rewatching their videos on You Tube. I must say that they were most defintely video pioneers and understood the impact video clips could have on sales. Just about all their hits have promotional videos.

So. Is this a sickness?

I have known all types of people. I hung out with skin heads to black panthers and everyone loved abba. They all said it was their secret love.

I'm right there with you. I've been circling back to collect artists like Alan Parsons, Steely Dan, ABBA, ELO, etc., usually when I'm in an 80's dry spell.

The older I get, the more nostalgia I feel for all things 70's. For me at least, it's all tied up in the complexities of aging and missing an easier time when my biggest worries were little league practice and fixing up my Schwinn Stingray bike.

So, yes, for me it is a sickness.[;)]

One of the few bands that made videos for almost all their singles, and knew what they were doing (most of the time), and used tham as a viable promotion tool. A world wide sensation, more than I can saw for other pop bands and continuous popularity. If you think ABBA is only "Dancing Queen," well then you don't know ABBA.
