Are you being a grill master today? Or just have two left thumbs and can't get it...

Bustin' the BTUs? Or coal baby, coal, all the way, and only way to grill???

Have a safe Memorial Day!

My Korean wife's sumptuous marinated (calbi and bulkoki) ribs and beef deserve COAL baby! The only way to grill.

Just dropped $600 on a new stainless steel grill yesterday. I'm putting a 16 X 16 deck on the back of the house, it isn't started yet but I had to buy a new accessory for it when it is completed. I broke it in yesterday, nothing fancy just the usual fare burgers, dogs, and chicken breasts.

I belong to a beach club. Last year I cooked for 25 people and they really loved it. I got a huge compliment from a neighbor yesterday. He said his daughter, a moody 23 year old that never talks to anyone was raving all winter about what a great cook I am! Guess who eats for free all summer.
I have been cleaning out the cabana all weekend but we are ready for grilling.
When will you be making an appearance on the Food Network's show Throwdown With Bobby Flay to challenge him to a grill off? If you are cooking do you get to pick the music?

Based on the formula, are you allowed to nail her or not?

My day is oh so easy!
Going to a barbecue. No cooking for me or my wife. We just bring some beer. Coors Light for her, Guinness Stout for me and Pepsi for my son.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

Sigh, Mr. Hex did not get the grilling gene . . . we have a nice gas grill but he says it's too much work.

So, we had people over yesterday and I used the George Foreman [:D] It doesn't taste as good as food that's grilled outdoors but it sure is convenient!

Lucky you. The people next door to me are Korean and they bring me bulkoki when they make it. Yum.

I am waiting for Reillygirl to stop by for a mojito or two....

We usually BBQ, but this year we're being lazy. There's a big bucket of chicken in the kitchen for the kids and the Mr. to eat. I've got to play at a big Memorial Day party tonight, so I get to eat whatever BBQ is available at that. [:)]

In some parts of the country, BBQ means big bushy quim, so maybe a kielbasa will be cookin'

So, I had two!! They are the best summer drink, even better than Gin & Tonic. Thanks to Marie3 and her hubby for having me over and also thanks to Marvymarv for giving Marie the recipe for Mojito's!!

have fun everyone!

I am feeling miserable right now, and I better get feeling better quick. Yesterday, the oddest thing happened, and just did me in. Around 5:00 pm, I open a bottle of wine. It was a New Mexico brand, and it's plum wine. I had it once before and loved it. Anyway, I get thru about half a glass (a 4-oz. cup) and my stomach starts feeling queasy. I went outside for a while and just started feeling worse and worse. I curled up in a ball on the couch while my husband started to watch a movie (Gone Baby Gone, the first time I've ever seen the totally yummy Casey Affleck). Then, I threw up, several times. I was definitely NOT drunk (having had about 2 oz. of the wine). It was either a bad batch of wine, or being in the heat combined with the wine, did me in. Anyway, I went to bed early, and today, I feel weak and trembly. I feel exactly the way one feels after rock climbing, or perhaps taking part in a marathon. Overall, I just feel crappy. This is not a good way to start off my summer vacation ! (School ended last Wednesday). I feel gypped ! No BBQs for us, either--husband is working today. The beer doesn't get brewed by itself !

Anyway, sorry for venting....I just feel taken by surprise. I'd rather be eating the yummy things you guys are describing (esp. that Korean stuff! ) Have fun everybody ![:)]
