If I plunk down $30 for Quick Time Pro, will I be able to save things like this:
http://www.halleonard.com/audio/08725016.mp3
(I like to put the music I have to perform on my iPod. I've been able to download most of the music from iTunes, but this is the only source I've found for this particular song...)
Thanks!

Quicktime will have no bearing on that. Just take the link you have here and Control-Clock "Download Linked File". Pro gives some additional editing functions which can be had with free apps like MPEG Streamclip anyway.

I don't have that option. I can "save as source" or "save as quick time movie." If I choose one, I get an offer to buy Quick Time Pro.

Well I have Quicktime Pro (7, not sure if the version makes a difference?), and I can safely tell you that YES IT DOES WORK! Saves as an MP3, works on iTunes like a charm! [:)]
If this is the only song you need this way, and you REALLY don't want to shell out $30 on Pro (tbh, it's not worth it), email me and I'll give you my username and password which you can borrow! [:)]
BTW Awesum Song! If you can play it, you go girl!

Right-click on the link itself (here, as you've typed it) before you get to the page.
