I didn't realize that Amazon was actually collecting the tax. They're currently suing the state of New York over this.

IIRC, New York claims that Amazon must pay them taxes if anyone who earns money through the Amazon Affiliates program resides in New York.

My friend whose address I use lives in NJ, so I guess I'm safe for now .
