we've lost another awesome reporter always after the truth & was always right on target.....Tony Snow.
After just reading the Associated Press obit & L.A.Times obit on Tony Snow,i was shocked by the far left's attempt to bash this man
& disrespecting Tony Snow's rep.
Let the man rest in peace & have respect for his grieving family.
Just because he worked for Bush dosent mean he has to be bashed.
one of the write-ins in the LA Times compared Tony Snow to a nazi !!!!
come on,,,,,,hey,Tim Russert didnt get bashed from the left or the right.
Tony Snow deserves the same respect from the far left loones out there.

Because there obviously is no god, nor heaven and hell, I've always adhered to the idea that if you are saddned by the deaths of your friends and family, you should equally be gladdened by the deaths of people you hate. Tony Snow was a professional liar and willing member of the most notorious administration in this country's history. I didn't know him personally, but professionally he was a BS artist extraordinaire. This was the best cancer since Lee Atwater's brain tumor.

These Republicans are criminals and the democrats who voted for this war including. I don't feel sorry him. I think it is time for redemption. On a thread about an honorable man's passing, post after post by idiots who have no idea what honor, truth, and civility mean. They just hate. And not ideas--they hate individuals. Ok, I'll bite.

How you feel about Tony Snow's death is going to depend on your political viewpoint and your feelings toward the bush administration. I feel sorry for Tony's family and their loss, but that doesn't change my opinion of the guy: Snow was a professional spin-doctor, a shameless prevaricator and consummate liar. Maybe on a personal level he was a great family guy who saved kittens from trees and played a nimble game of squash-- who knows? Or maybe his professional life is more accurate-- his arch-conservative bluster and audacity to get in front of the white house press corp every day and mislead the world with talking points and disinformation-- maybe that is how he would prefer to be remembered, because he was really, really good at that. The press didn't know what to do with that, and I guess that is to Tony's credit (and our detriment).

Russert is a tougher call. I only started watching some of the Sunday talking heads during the bush administration, and during this time I was thoroughly unimpressed with the way he would let his guests off the hook. It's probably not a coincidence that Scooter Libby's trial showed Cheney's office praising Russert as their best format for getting their message out. Perhaps Russert (like Chris Matthews) used to be more left but adapted to fit into the political climate during the bush years. That doesn't make me respect him any more, and I'm certainly not lining up to support his beatification by naming highways and other public works after him.

I was very fortunate to attend the funeral for Tony Snow with a dear friend from FOX News.
It truly was a celebration of the man !!!
