I think I'l have to start with their compilation, 808:88:98 on this fine day of 08/08/08 [^] I'll then proceed to mining their subtle delicacy of Don Solaris, diverting to the exploratory journey of Ex:El and reaching peak alcohol fueled divinity of 808 Utd. State 90. Excuse me, but CUBIK is on now.....yup, Friday night's starting early here on Long Island [8D]

something about 808 State that always makes me happy --reminds me of good times late 80's early 90's.....only wish Icouldve seen their show ---

I saw them open for New Order during the Republic tour. You know we'll have to devote some time today to all the remixes they've done for other artists like the Stone Roses and New Order. Who else have they worked with?

Well. I know they did a remix for Bowies 'Sound and Vision' that was (just) Ok....

I never got into 'A Guy Called Gerald' but apparently that was a pretty successful 808 spin off.....

...........i was just going for a rhyme kinda thing.....808...thats great....oh forget it! It was a stretch.

Yes. And we'd be remiss not to include the dreamy Spanish Heart featuring fellow Mancunian Bernard [i]"I AM THE LEAD SINGER OF THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD SO I OWN AND RULE ALL"[/i] Sumner in this conversation. OOPS with Bjork was pretty strong too.

In case any 808 fans haven't heard, the remastered/expanded albums from the ZTT years were released in Japan on 080808, with it being released in EU in Sep.

The extra tracks (double disc sets) are not awe-inspiring (ie. no Pacific 909).
