Let's put it this way, he should get a hero's welcome, he's coming back with as many medals as every athlete in Canada combined

This is my evil post number 666.

Let's face it, Canadians are just too fucking nice and we don't have a killer instinct. Our athletes are just happy to be there and participating. And people on the street will actually tell you they're proud of our athletes just "doing their best". Gag! It's a fucking embarassment! We're too honest to have any "rent-an-athletes" from another country. We're too stupid to realize we need to invest serious money to actually support our athletes.

Maybe we could win the gold medal for having the nicest, most honest athletes. But wait, the memory of Ben Johnson has tarnished that too!

We suck. It is fucking appalling. Any other nation in the world would be openly embarassed about it and demand the resignation of their Minister of Sport or similar position.

Its the way Canadians approach everything! All Canadians should read "Why Mexicans Don't Drink Molson" by Andrea Mandel-Campbell. This country needs a wake up call.

A little aggression is not a bad thing.

I think Canada is pretty cool. The rest of the world should be so nice. Sadly they are not and its dog eat dog out there.

I wouldn't get too worked up if you're Canadian. There's always India to bring up the all-time rear. 6 gold medals EVER, all in Field Hockey until this year, when they just added the very athletic Air Pistol gold. This for a country of 1.2 billion. How the hell does this happen?! They must sit around smoking more than even the Canadians do.

I love Canadians. My Canadian clients are nice and extremely laid back. My American clients are super-high maintenance, and could definitely take some lessons in how to not piss off the person in control of their projects.

There's too many bleeding hearts here that don't think the amateur athletes in Canada deserve monetary support from the government. Meanwhile, commercial TV stations get millions in order to make TV shows so that they can fill the Canadian Content quota.

There's also a lot of money wasted on trying to please the Quebecois politicians. I think they're wasting 25 million to build a French village in Vancouver for 2010. There's a joke in Canada that goes: Canada is a bilingual country ... except in Quebec.

So you guys think the same way we do about Quebec.[:D]

A common misconception. Last Winter Olympics they finished third in the medal count behind the U.S. and Germany.
