Our early voting last week included wait times of up to 5 hours!
5 hours! It'll be like Disneyland, except no payoff at the end.

In Chinatown, it will be Erection Day which sounds so much more fun.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

"Pardon the bulk mailing. I Can't Vote. I am an immigrant with a Green Card and, therefore, I am not eligible to vote in a federal election. FYI - I can get drafted (luckily, Daniel Berrigan burned my draft board's records) and I pay taxes, yet I cannot vote for President. On Election Day, I see my neighbors heading to the nearby elementary school to cast their ballots. The voting booth joint is a great leveler; the whole neighborhood - rich, poor, old, young, decrepit and spunky - they all turn out in one day.

But most of you can vote. What can I say? The Republicans have made us less safe than before 9/11, bankrupted this economy, started an illegal war they can't - and don't intend to - finish, removed what sympathy (after 9/11) and respect the world had for the US, and have robbed US citizens of many of their basic rights. Global warming? What's that? Science and education? Investment in our future? No, thanks - we'll stick with a good 'ole hockey mom. Ignorant, and fucking proud of it, as is always the case.

Although it looks like a shoo-in, it ain't over 'til Florida. And there are plenty of racists in this country who will vote against their own best interests. So please, get to your local elementary school, post office, town hall, or whatever, and cast your vote and make this a country we can all be proud of. We can get out of this mess, and life can be better than it is.

Just my opinion but David Byrne is a moron for saying that and should go back to his homeland if he does not like it here. Sure we made him rich and now he is complaining. Screw him and the rest of the liberals. I think they are the people that are bringing our country down. No wonder the rest of the band could not stand him.

I guess Mr Byrne has finally decided to "Stop Making Sense". If he wants to vote he should apply for citizenship and quit bitching. Obama's grandmother stayed true to her racist beliefs until the end by kicking the bucket just before election day, she couldn't stand to see a black man in the Whitehouse.[:)]

This election is important for Americans and foreigners alike..Foreigners should be equally concerned who their next world police chief is going to be.

Oh geez why are some Americans get their shorts in a bunch, David Byrne is only echoing the sentiments of many Americas (many of those who are not wacko liberals BTW).

I voted early this morning. There was no line, and it's always cool to see my neighbors and friends. Everyone was smiling and hopeful. Seeing OBAMA'S name on the ballot brought a tear to my eye; I'm going to be so emotional tonight. Man, excitement is in the air today; even my dogs are excited !

Go and VOTE if you have not yet done so !

I voted at 6 this morning and felt great about it. It was packed. There was every race and religion all in the same room. Tons of Russians and Asians along with white , black, Jew, and Arab. God bless America but God bless New York twice.
