Welcome to the new forum!
If you are a previously registered user, you must do the following:

1) Click on 'I forgot my password' at the login prompt
2) Enter your username and email you registered with and submit
3) You will receive an email with an activation link. Please click it and then log in using the random password provided
4) Go to your User Control Panel and click on the Profile tab
5) Click on 'Edit Account Settings' and enter your new password twice followed by the random password provided earlier. Click Submit.
6) That's it...you're back in! You may have to log in again with your new password.

Whew! That was strange. I posted a message and it came up as another author.

I believe there was upgrade to the server and it put the board in a generic mode which allowed a bunch of spammers (the regular overnight express) to register without my approval and it seems to wipe out previous login cookies. I've seen this a couple times before and it does lead to bizarre behavior.

yeah, that was wacky this morning...

also Mike...it appears that some mainstay threads have dissapeared, ie: in Vinylmania "What have you picked up on vinyl" is out-enzee....

Should be back now. There's one thread (Inspiral Carpets in the Top Ten Lists) that I need to restore to its proper owner but otherwise I think all is good again.
