After the first band sidn't come on until 8:30 (Female fronted Emo band Lennore -blah!) I was worried. Second band Evan Brightly was interesting but nothing memorable-indie rock with violins.

Marcy Playground absolutley rocked. 3 piece band and the sound (for all 3 bands) was outstanding, one of the better concerts sound-wise I have been to in some time. I was right up front.
Outside on a beautiful evening, these guys played a killer set that included their hits and most popular songs and ended with a Jeff Buckley (Leonard Cohen) cover Hallelujah and then lead singer John Wozniak played an amazing solo version of Neil Young's Needle and the Damage Done. My pictures came out terrible but free drinks and a free concert by a terribly under-rated band can't be beat!

Wish I had any business excuse to be in Scottsdale! Sounds like a great series. Didn't anyone wanna head out to it? I can't imagine that the Phoenix area is a hotbed for these activites and that you'd at least have the pleasure of Panorama and retrophil's company.

I didn't see this thread, oh well. I've been working on my web site update, long over due, so that's taking all my time at the moment, but I could have used a break.
