Passed at the age of 85. She certainly had "it", just oozing sexuality.

Bettie Page was amazing - she changed the world all by herself - one pose at a time.

DAMN! I remember finding an issue of "The Betty Pages" at a comic book store in the late 80's. At the time absolutely nothing was known about what happened to her after the 50's. It was a big mystery and everyone assumed she had died. Lo and behold she was finally located in California, taking care of her older brother, and it was strangely touching that she had no idea that she had become a pop culture icon in the 80's and 90's. It was great that she finally got to enjoy a bit of fame so much later in life.
Too bad she got swindled by an agent so soon after she was rediscovered. Bettie only recently got her business affairs in order and started seeing some money.
Friends would always say they didn't know who I was talking about when I mentioned Bettie Page but then I would show them a picture of Bettie in high heels, cracking a whip and smiling and they would immediately recognize her.
How many album covers was she featued on? I know her picture is on the cover for My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult's "Sexplosion" album and a David Lee Roth record. Anyone remember any others?

Enzfan...that pic is not Bettie Page, it's Gretchen Mol from the movie The Notorious Bettie Page.

My bad, but Gretchen was pretty convincing at least in the physical aspect.
